Holiday-themed events in and around Orangevale

Attending holiday-themed events is a great way to break away from our humdrum daily routine. In fact, even if you consider yourself a full-blooded introvert, socializing with others can help you destress and even learn new things from a seemingly simple conversation.

If you’re running out of ideas for your holiday-themed activities, check out these Christmas events in and around Orangevale. We include in our list family-friendly events to make sure that you everyone will have a blast this holiday season.

2021 Folsom Winter Ball

This family-friendly holiday event includes live musical performances – e.g., piano, guitar, and vocal Christmas songs.

Guests are encouraged to dress in formal and semi-formal attire in shades of blue, white, silver, and black since the venue will be decorated using these colors.

This event is great for families because it includes kid-friendly ballroom dancing sessions with a local professional dance studio and art stations where children can make their own ornaments, photo frames, and other art-related knick-knacks that they can take home.

Meanwhile, if you have a talent you want to showcase, this event can serve as your platform. Just contact the event organizers to get approval and slot.

Schedule: 4 pm – 8 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021
Location: Folsom Rotary Clubhouse
Fees: $35 per person (it includes dancing, art stations, photo booth, talent show, access to Christmas bazaar, and catered dinner with non-alcoholic drinks)

Christmas at the Movies

This Christmas musical extravaganza is a family-friendly holiday-themed event you don’t want to miss. And the best thing about this event is that it’s completely free, thanks to the generosity of the Adventure Church of Yuba City.

Schedule: 7 pm, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 / 7 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2021 / 5 pm and 7 pm, Friday, Christmas Eve.
Location: 876 W Onstott Frontage Rd, Yuba City, CA

Christmas Wreaths Workshop

This workshop will teach you how to make your own Christmas wreath using winter and holiday-themed flowers, which are excellent gifts to your loved ones, including those you consider hard-to-shop-for.

In this workshop, the organizers will provide you with the supplies – i.e., fresh flowers and decorations. However, you need to bring your own clippers and scissors to create your Christmas wreaths.

Fee: $30 per person
Location: 1300 R Street, Sacramento, CA

Christmas Give Back Project

This holiday season, why not do something that will benefit the local community? If this sounds like a nice idea, you can donate unwrapped toys, blankets, coats, beanie hats, hand warmers, socks, gloves, and other personal hygiene items like shampoos, toothbrushes, and soaps to the homeless population.

In partnership with local gospel choirs in Northern California, the Black Small Business Association organizes this donation drive to benefit the growing population of homeless people in the region.

Giving is our way of making homeless people feel that they matter – this sense of belongingness deters negative behaviors and reinforces positive ones. Additionally, receivers often become inspired that they wish to become givers themselves.

Schedule: 6 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021
Location: Sacramento Capitol City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6701 Lemon Hill Avenue, Sacramento, CA
